· We shall touch/recap, very briefly, on one or two things/items: Serious food for thought: -

· 1) Envoys from the US, Britain and Denmark on December 15, 2012 said that their countries were not opposed to any of the presidential aspirants, “including Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr. William Ruto.”

· They also dismissed as falsehood “speculation” that they have slapped travel bans on the Son of MAU MAU freedom fighters and MAU MAU detainees and Eldoret North MP William Samoei Kipchirchir arap Ruto (Sunday Nation and Standard on Sunday, December 16, 2012).

· The envoys said they were equally surprised by reports in a section of the Kenyan media (read the Star newspaper) that the two Jubilee Coalition leaders could not travel to Europe.

· “As for my country, I want to say that those reports are incorrect,” maintained the British High Commissioner Christian Turner. US Ambassador Robert Godec and their Danish counterpart Geert Aagaard Andersen echoed his (read Turner’s) sentiments.

· They said they would not interfere with the Kenyan electoral process; claiming that they were only offering “technical support through the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).”

· The envoys said they could not comment on the eligibility of Kenyatta and Ruto to contest for the top job, saying that the matter is for Kenyans to decide and is “already before a court of law.”

· The three had accompanied IEBC chairman Isaack Hassan on a tour of voter registration centres in Thika municipality, Kiambu County. We hope these hypocritical busybodies know exactly what they are talking about!

· 2) Son of Teresia gave an interesting speech during the 49th Jamhuri Day celebrations at Nyayo Stadium, on December 12, 2012. The same will, most probably, be his last Jamhuri Day speech. Son of Teresia said, inter alia:

· “You will recall that ten years ago, our national budget was Shs. 250 billion, and our tax revenues were Shs. 180 billion. We depended on donor funding to finance a large part of our national budget. In the last ten years, we have increased our tax revenues to over Shs. 700 billion. We are now able to fund over 95 per cent of our Government budget from local sources.”

· NB: This is a clear testimony that we will withstand the sanctions nonsense very comfortably under President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto! God bless the great people of this great country called Kenya!

· 3) A concerned Kenya, Stephen Mboya, penned an interesting piece (The People Tuesday, December 18, 2012). Mboya said: “In the recent report to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, President Hu Jiatao outlined China’s diplomatic priorities in the new era…

· Apart from cementing bonds with other powers, the report emphasized that China will remain a reliable friend and sincere partner of the developing countries. He said China will continue to uphold the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries and support efforts to increase their representation and voice in international affairs…

· The report highlighted China’s commitment to the improvement of the growing solidarity, friendship and cooperation with developing countries on the basis of equality and win-win cooperation…

· China, like other developing countries, faces the same challenges of streaming its economic development pattern, improving people’s livelihood, expanding domestic demands and promoting harmonious coordination of economic and social development…

· Despite having undergone profound development changes in the last 30 years to become the world’s second largest economy by nominal GDP, China still remains the largest developing country of the world while Africa is the continent with the greatest number of developing countries…

· China is committed to working together with developing countries to achieve their common development. Developing countries have always been China’s important partners in pursuing peaceful development and a major force for a multi-polar world and greater democracy in international relations…

· Global cooperation is expanding on multiple levels and on all fronts. Developing countries are gaining in overall strength, tipping the balance of international forces in favour of the maintenance of world peace…

· China has never forgotten that it is developing countries that helped it regain its legitimate seat at the UN in 1971. Ever since, China has remained a reliable political ally to Africa and developing countries at the UN and, most importantly, safeguarding their interests at the United Nations Security Council…

· China has consistently called for larger representation of developing countries within the UN Security Council, specifically African nations, in line with the UN reforms…

· China views its responsibility as a great power as the promotion of world peace, development and fairness through the involvement and participation of all stakeholders. Developed nations often take advantage of their dominant positions to take offensive positions and interfere with the internal affairs of developing nations…

· China has strongly spoken against this practice and has consistently come to the defence of developing countries by insisting on legality, justice and consensus among countries across the globe. Its stance in favour of developing countries is not only reflected in what it says but by its actions…

· With respect to Zimbabwe, China has used its veto six times to protect the citizens of Zimbabwe from punitive sanctions imposed by the Western countries. These sanctions do not entirely influence the decisions of the leadership of Zimbabwe but only subject the ordinary citizen to more hardship and suffering. China will always stand by developing countries…

· “We will decide our position and policy on an issue on its own merits and work to uphold fairness and justice,” the report said…

· Peaceful development has been a buzz word for China’s development in the past decade and the long held Chinese tenets of “an independent foreign policy of peace and a win-win strategy of opening up” will remain guidelines to China’s diplomacy. The report emphasized that China is committed to the peaceful settlement of international disputes and hotspot issues.”

· Well, we only hope and pray that the Western racist neo-imperialists will learn some diplomatic manners and hygiene from the Chinese to whom they go begging, on their knees (NO, sorry: on their tummies!); even as they treat us as if we are sub-humans and amnesiac idiots; with tasteless arrogance, contempt, malice, evil, envy, jealous, sadism, and hatred!

· Shame on these useless beasts; and “may red-hot coals fall on them; may they be thrown into a pit and never get out!” – Psalms 140:10 (Good News Bible). Nothing to add: Enough said! Everything is in black and white. Alluta Continua.
